Helping women thrive, not just survive

My Sisters’ House CIO

Embedded in the Bognor Regis and Chichester communities, My Sisters’ House Women’s Centre works across the Arun and Chichester Districts of West Sussex.

We work with women to improve their welfare and wellbeing, reduce their risk of domestic abuse and support recovery, and help them reach their goals for employment, education or training.

Our vision is that no woman within our community should experience abuse, poverty, mental health or other disadvantages without the support that will help them to live healthy lives and realise their full potential.

Our Mission

To provide a range of support to women from all backgrounds facing all kinds of issues, where their strengths are recognised, their difficulties acknowledged and where they can achieve positive change they are proud of.

  • To provide specialist facilities for vulnerable and disadvantaged women

  • To provide a safe development environment for women to grow both professionally and personally

  • To be recognised as a centre of knowledge in understanding the needs of disadvantaged and vulnerable women

  • To be an effective, efficient and sustainable organisation

Our centres are a safe space for all women, where we are treated with respect, compassion, empathy and without judgement.

Our services are delivered by women, for women.

We support all self-identifying women across the Arun and Chichester Districts.

Built around our clients

We provide tailored, trauma-informed support.

We focus on positive outcomes and wrap-around support.

Our story

Created around a kitchen table in 2014 by a group of like-minded local women, My Sisters’ House started with a tiny premises and just a few volunteers.

Through the commitment, resilience and determination of our founders, staff, trustees and volunteers, we’ve seen huge change over almost a decade.

Now with two busy hubs, over 30 staff and around 45 volunteers, we’re supporting record numbers of women.

Meet Our Team

Whether it’s meeting with clients, running peer groups or spreading awareness of our services, our staff members make sure everything is done with a lot of love. When you walk into the centre, just know you’ll be greeted with a warm welcome and a cup of tea.
